The Sugar Farms and Renner South developments are members of the Sugar Farms-Renner South New Community Authority (NCA). This is a very limited political subdivision defined in the Ohio Revised Code – a local government – whose power includes the ability to levy a charge on property tax bills, with the revenue used to fund various projects include construction of infrastructure, maintenance of landscaping, and sponsor recreational activities.
The NCA is governed by a Board of Trustees, which is initially comprised of representatives of the developers, the City of Columbus, and three appointed members of the community. As parcels are sold and homeowners move in, the developer and appointed members are to be replaced by representatives elected by the homeowners.
If you are a resident of one of these communities or a leader within the HOA for Sugar Farms or Renner South, please contact Paul Lambert at phlambert@msn.com for more information about stepping up to fill one of these community appointed roles.
