ELECTIONS INFORMATION
The FWSAC annual selection for members is now open. If you are age 18+ and are a City of Columbus resident residing within the Far West Side Area, you are eligible to file a nomination petition.
If interested, please click here to download the Candidate Packet. All petitions must be completed and emailed to farwestsidecbus.elections@gmail.com by Friday, June 16, 2023 (5:00 pm). Two seats will be on the ballot. Each is a three-year term commencing January 1, 2024 and ending December 31, 2026.
The election will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Horizon Elementary School.
APPOINTMENTS INFORMATION
The FWSAC nomination period for an appointed commissioner seat is also open. We are seeking candidates who are age 18+ within the following eligibility considerations:
- Individuals residing in the townships within the Commission Area.
- Individuals employed by or owning a business within the Commission Area.
- Representatives from the Commission Area’s public school districts including Hilliard City Schools, Columbus City Schools, or South-Western City Schools.
- Representatives of religious, social or other public interest organizations within the Commission Area.

As of May 2023, two appointed seats are currently open.
