Guest Speakers:
- Will Petrik, with the citizen-led “Our City, Our Say” initiative, to share how the initiative would change the way Columbus City Councilmembers are elected. At present, each Councilmember resides in one of nine Council districts, but is voted on at-large by voters in the entire city. The “Our City, Our Say” initiative calls for ONLY voters within a Council district to vote on that district’s Councilmember. To learn more, please see: https://ourcityoursay.com
- Roberto Burga, Community Relations Coordinator – Columbus Area Solar Co-Op, to give a short presentation (and answer questions) on the co-op, which helps residents access discounted solar pricing and guidance throughout the installation process. Columbus residents may qualify for a 20% rebate up to $5,000!
Zoning Committee: there are no zoning cases this month, but we will hear updates on the following:
- Case Z25-064 concurrent with CV25-114 (Anderson Farm rezoning proposal) – Columbus Development Commission approved 6/11/2026 (FWSAC unanimously voted 0-9 against approval 4/28/2026)
- Columbus’ request to annex 279 acres from Brown Township, west of Alton Darby Creek Rd
- Big Darby Accord Amendment Update
